Hiring Help for Covered Gutters
Covered gutters need a different kind of visit. Not every company takes them on, and any that does should explain how.

Know what you have
Before you ask for quotes, find out whether your guards are perforated aluminum, mesh screens, hooded covers or foam inserts. If you are unsure, photograph a section close up and again from the ground, and attach both to the request.
That small step matters because removal methods differ. A snap-in screen is quick to lift. A fastened cover can take longer, and a mismatch between what was expected and what is on the roof is how surprise charges happen.
What to ask
- Do you take guards off and put them back?
- Will you brush or rinse the top surface?
- Do you check the trough underneath?
- Is there an added fee for covered systems?
A company that answers in specifics is easier to trust than one that says it depends on the day. Pricing for covered runs often sits above open ones. Ours is set after we see what you have and how it is fastened.
Repairs are a separate conversation
Bent, lifted or storm-damaged guards need repair, and that is not the same as cleaning. We clean guards; we do not repair or replace them. Roofing work is part of the contractor definitions in Florida Statutes section 489.105, so check whether anything beyond cleaning calls for a licensed roofer.
Keep the cleaning quote and any repair quote separate, so you can compare them fairly. Our FAQ covers the licensing basics.
